Dr. Apurve Joshi grew up in Savannah, GA. After high school, he attended University of Georgia in Athens (GO DAWGS!!) where he graduated with honors. He then went on to pursue further education in the field of medicine by attending the Medical College of Georgia. Upon graduating, Dr. Joshi did his internship at Georgia Baptist Medical Center, located in Atlanta, GA, where he learned the fundamentals of medicine.
After internship, he completed his anesthesiology residency at Indiana University under Dr. Stoelting, a renowned anesthesiologist who has authored many textbooks and is known as a leader in the field of anesthesiology. Through his time with Dr. Stoelting, Dr. Joshi became an exceptional anesthesiologist, developing the ability to successfully manage a wide range of emergencies.
As he exited residency he was heavily recruited and began his outstanding career in private practice. During his time establishing his career in anesthesiology, Dr. Joshi developed an interest in pain management. This led Dr. Joshi to start and successfully complete a pain fellowship at the Florida Spine Institute.
Upon completion of his pain fellowship, Dr. Joshi joined TDI Pain in hopes of using his 25+ years of experience to bring and provide exceptional care to his patients. In his free time Dr. Joshi enjoys tennis, traveling, and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
